You can attend the first two meetings of your WI for free to find out more.

Each WI is unique and it’s best to visit several in your area before joining to find one that suits you best. For everyone who joins the WI there’s the freedom to make what you want of it. It might be the most important lifeline in your community or it may be something to dip in and out of while juggling everything else in your life; an opportunity to choose what you want to do, not what you have to do.

WIs usually meet monthly during the year, either by holding a meeting to listen to a speaker or arrange an activity.  Your WI may also organise trips or enjoy a meal out together.  You can also attend a range of events organised by the Federation including workshops on craft and health and wellbeing.

All of this, and much more, is available for a yearly subscription of just £51(2025).  This is the maximum charge and some WIs charge less.  This money is divided between your WI, your county’s Federation and the National Federation.
