Natural Heritage Tree Project 2019

Members in Powys Brecknock Federation received a delivery of trees from the Woodland Trust and began planting in the spring.

Project Co-ordinators organised a craft and display day.

Members from Bwlch and Cathedine WI have visited another WI to encourage members to take part in the project and have also planted 30 trees around a wildlife pond, a footpath and a drive way and will plant more.

Members have also been in contact with the local Community Council and County Council.

Llangynidr WI began taking part in the Project in July 2018. Since then they have met on a regular basis to discuss the project and future plans. Members are involved in monthly meetings to make crafts, adopt and monitor trees and to take part in walks around Gliffaes, Crickhowell.
